Joe Raymond and Andrew Zulli own Banshee and work on every boat that leaves the shop — and we’re looking to grow the team.
Joe Raymond
Owner. Professional guide and lifelong river fisherman, on the Susquehanna and Juniata since 2013. Sets the layout: what goes where, and why, comes out of a decade of days on the water.
Andrew Zulli
Owner. Rigging, electronics, accessories and engineering experience. The systems side of the boat, and the standard the finished product is held to.
Where it comes from
Custom shallow-water jet boats, built by the people who run the Susquehanna.

Joe has been guiding on the Susquehanna and Juniata Rivers since 2013. Today, Susquehanna Smallmouth Guides has grown to a team of 6 guides. For many years, Joe was also a customer — working with various boat builders, commissioning custom jet boats, and putting them through full seasons of real-world use. That experience gave him valuable insight into what worked well, what could be improved, and what serious anglers need in a jet boat.
That experience became the foundation for Banshee Jet Boats.
Joe and Andrew set out to build something different. They wanted to move beyond the traditional jon boat look and create a shallow-water jet boat with refined, purposeful lines — one that looks as good as it performs and is built for the way anglers use their boats.
Power
Proven, not the latest
flash in the pan.
More importantly, we wanted to build boats around proven, long-term power options rather than chasing whatever performance trend is current.
Inboard
Our inboard platforms run proven automotive-based V6 and V8 powerplants, engineered for thousands of hours of service.
Outboard
Our outboards run Mercury power, which brings an extensive nationwide service network with it.
Wherever it takes you
Reliability, serviceability and longevity are part of the design — not something you find out about in year three.
Durability
Few, if any, boats in this class are built tougher.
Durability was equally important. Years of running shallow, rocky rivers showed us exactly where conventional boats take abuse and where construction methods can fall short.
We used those lessons to engineer a hull designed from the beginning for demanding shallow-water use — not a lake boat asked to survive a river.
Layout
It fishes bigger
than its dimensions.
Toughness alone wasn’t enough. We wanted our boats to fish bigger than their dimensions suggest. Wider, longer front decks maximize usable fishing space, and the interior layout is the result of more than a decade of refinement by someone who spends hundreds of hours on the water every year.
Storage, seating, electronics, rod boxes, controls and deck space are all positioned with one goal: making the boat more comfortable, functional and efficient for a full day on the water.
Together, they envisioned a boat that simply didn’t exist yet — one built to take punishment from shallow, rocky rivers, laid out by people who actually fish for a living, and finished to a standard that looks every bit as good as it performs.
So we built it. Banshee Jet Boats launched in 2026 — a new company backed by more than a decade of hard-earned experience and a clear idea of what a shallow-water jet boat should be.
Since 2013 guiding the same water these boats are built for
Susquehanna Smallmouth Guides has been booking trips on the Susquehanna and Juniata since 2013 and now runs a team of six guides, logging 20,000 hours on the river. That is where Banshee comes from: more than a decade of running jet boats commercially, in low water over ledge rock, with paying customers aboard.
It is also why we know what we are building for. The river does not care what a brochure says.
